Lathes

CNC Turning
Turning is a machining process in which a cutting tool, typically a non-rotary tool bit is moving linearly while the workpiece rotates. When turning, a piece of relatively rigid material is rotated and a cutting tool is traversed along multiple axes of motion to produce precise diameters and depths. Turning is commonly performed with a lathe center and computer numeric control to make cylindrical components.
